Our Values

At AB Spectrum, we are proud to be part of the North American Reggio Emilia Alliance and the world’s only ReggioABA clinic. We created Reggio ABA in 2017, combining the proven, research-based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with the beauty and philosophy of the Reggio Emilia approach. This unique blend allows us to offer a therapy experience that is not only effective but deeply enriching for children and their families.

The Reggio Emilia Philosophy

What sets Reggio ABA apart from traditional ABA is our unique emphasis on child-led therapy in group settings—an approach that has proven to be incredibly effective. While traditional ABA often focuses on one-on-one, therapist-directed sessions, Reggio ABA encourages children to take the lead in their learning within a group environment. This model allows children to engage socially with peers, collaborate, and develop communication and social skills in a natural, supportive setting. It also fosters emotional resilience and creativity, as children actively participate in shaping their therapy experience. This group-centered, child-directed approach has shown remarkable success in helping children with autism build strong social connections while still addressing individual behavior and communication goals.

By combining ABA techniques with the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we create a learning environment where creativity, exploration, and social interaction thrive. Children express themselves through multiple “languages”—words, gestures, art, and movement—while making meaningful progress on their goals.

Why join us?

At AB Spectrum, we believe in the power of patience, growth, and dedication, and our mascot, Toby the Turtle, embodies these values. Toby serves as a reminder that success is not about rushing—it’s about steady, consistent progress. Our Toby’s Track to Success program is designed to help our very own staff build a lifelong career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Whether you’re starting with no experience or have some background, we will guide you through every step of the process. You’ll begin as a Behavior Technician (BT), and we’ll provide you with all the training and support you need to earn your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. From there, we’ll help you take the next step by offering mentorship, supervision, and the tools to become a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

What makes this program even more special is our partnership with UMSL, which allows us to cover half of your BCBA tuition—making it easier for you to pursue your career goals without the financial burden. At AB Spectrum, we are dedicated to helping you not only succeed but thrive, and we’re here to support you through your entire career journey.

This is more than just a job—it’s a life-changing career path that empowers you to help children with autism and other developmental disorders. By becoming a BCBA through Toby’s Track to Success, you won’t just be changing the life of one individual—you’ll be impacting countless lives through the power of ABA.

If you’re ready to start a fulfilling career with opportunities to grow, we invite you to follow Toby’s Track to Success. Let’s take that first step together!
